Best of Me 03:37
Living life to justify isn’t how I wanna fly In my wake I’ll leave those things behind Nothing here I’ll compromise Seeing things through new eyes Stay if you must I’m moving on This is the best of me I choose to be free Make it through life somehow Shaking off what brings us down I’ll rise with the sun I refuse to hide Hold on tight to what you learn Stay away from things that burn I’m miles a head of that old life This is the best of me I choose to be free (solo) Living life to justify isn’t how I wanna fly In my wake I’ll leave those things behind Make it through life somehow Shaking off what brings us down I’ll rise with the sun I refuse to hide This is the best of me....

I need someone to see this through Be my eyes while I drive They say there’s no way we will come out on the other side Move it forward and keep it straight Gotta stay between the lines I can only estimate but it’ll take some time I warned it’s still too hot to touch You said it’s not enough but in fact it’s too much The theme of lines from which I’ve sung Join together unite as one Water’s moving much too fast Gotta leave you behind Can’t carry you all at once The cost is way too high Crossing over unsteady ground It gives away at times I know what lies ahead My eyes are on the prize I crawl onto the other side Restraints wash away with the tide The theme of lines from which I’ve sung Join together unite as one

Only You 03:55
Turning my back on this one I don’t see an end in sight I think that I’ve been here too long This could take me all night Imprisoned by my own contemplation The only thing that I should be singing about is you Only you Piecing it all together It was easier at the start You’ve gotta be some kind of fool to go searching in the dark Waiting around for something to give here The only thing that I should be singing about is you Only you Surprised that I took it this far Lean back while I catch my breath It almost got away from me Nearly scared me half to death I hear your soft voice calling me over The only thing that I’m gonna sing about is you Only you

See my Light 04:31
The bright days we had I swear were true Mistakes I made brought darkness upon you Time will show you my dark is gone The road to build your trust I know is long See my light Oh mama See my light It wasn’t the natural me that done you wrong Just don’t want to sing it I wanna show you my song We sat on those steps and our eyes locked tight You forced out the lies that I held inside See my light Oh mama See my light To trust me now you’re so afraid For the rest of my life those dues I’ll pay When the day comes to let me in The sun will shine upon us again See my light Oh mama See my light See our light Oh mama See our light See our light Oh mama See our light

Unbridled lies define who you are Constant strife lead you down that hall Damned to move your stone up that hill But you deny it all and it just sits there still But I can’t believe I can’t believe it’s true That you’re trying to sell me something I can already see through It’s a sin to share your troubles Hold them close but remain clear When it’s time to seek your shelter you will always find me here Put forth to end no matter what the cost Present life use to be my loss But now she stands right before my eyes I’ve searched far and wide Now I’m gonna make her mine But I can’t believe I can’t believe it’s true That you’re trying to sell me something I can already see through It’s a sin to share your troubles Hold them close but remain clear When it’s time to seek your shelter you will always find me here
6.
Hold that thought until tomorrow I can’t wait for you all day These lines are getting hard to swallow In your eyes it’s all you have to say And I’m free for a while It’s coming back to me it won’t take long And I see where this is going I knew it would I just had to hold on I turned my back just for a moment You think you have it and then its gone I’ve asked too much of you already And with a left hook you come on strong And I’m free for a while It’s coming back to me it won’t take long And I see where this is going I knew it would I just had to hold on What was I thinking when I started Never thought I’d see the day I tried to shut it down too early But there was more I had to say And I’m free for a while It’s coming back to me it won’t take long And I see where this is going I knew it would I just had to hold on

Come one Come all Get your back up off the wall I wanna know who you are Been ages since letting go Relearn things we use to know Seeing places near and far Hone my magic and it fascinates me so Why it’s taken us this long See the plan through The cons are after you and I Read the ground trees and Sky Believe me and what I saw Through the gate and down the hall They’ve been hiding in the dark We’ve all been here before Pushing back on the same old door Hinges busting open wide I can see you We will navigate it through Translate what comes from above Take your turn and hold on firm to where you stand This is more than just you and I Solo Come one Come all Get your back up off the wall I wanna know who you are Been ages since letting go Relearn things we use to know Seeing places near and far

It looks ok from where I stand As I try to climb out of this land The words you say just can’t be found And I find myself back on the ground And you pick me up again But I slip right through your hands It’s fixed time and time again When will it ever end? You gave it fuel right from the start Loving life without the dark There’s more to this though you know There's nothing left here for the show And you pick me up again But I slip right through your hands It’s fixed time and time again When will it ever end?

Come to find The things we hide Come alive Just give it time I’ll own what’s mine Free the mind Gonna take that ride And do what’s right Before… I burn out the light. Gonna fly to get high Choose love instead of a line Let our love shine bright The path I see Is meant for me Let me show you please I ’m down on my knees Before… My light’s shining bright When I see those almond eyes Choose love instead of a line Let our love shine bright

It’s time to leave Here we go We can’t stay here this we know Taking everything that we’ve got Keep on climbing never gonna stop Reach for me Hold on tight It’s gonna be the ride of your life. We’re gonna get there fast or slow If we have to we will ride all night Ooh ooh Comin’ to a fork in the road Ooh ooh owning which way we go It took some time but now we’re here Reading signs so we are clear Put your faith into what you know Give up your ride so your head won’t roll Walking along singing my song Which way is right and which is wrong I’ll be that whisper in your ear Relax my friend you’re finally here Ooh ooh Comin’ to a fork in the road Ooh ooh owning which way we go Ooh ooh Comin’ to a fork in the road Ooh ooh owning which way we go

about

This is my first solo album. My songs are reminiscent of the music I grew up with, from artists such as Crosby Stills Nash and Young, The Band, Neil Young, The Smashing Pumpkins and The Allman Brothers Band.
